FF Vs HART - Differences and Comparision

I read lot of literature about the difference and comparison between Foundation Feildbus and HART protocol.
Being a Mechanical Engineer, what is understand is that HART gives 4-20mA output signal. It is analog.
Where as FF is digital signal that can be interfaced with a DCS.

Hope i am not too far from what these actually are. A simple understanding and comparison between the two will be appreciated.
