Dear All,

I need some advice about FFS of corrosion defect using DNV RP F101 Part A.

I am doing FFS assessment of external defect using DNV RP F101 Part A, Section 4.2 subsection 4.2.1.

I am getting value of yd(d/t)* more than "1". As per standard if yd (d/t)* is more than "1" then Pcorr = 0.

Any member of the forum can advice what shall be the second step or what i have to do in terms to calculate allowable corroded pipe pressure.

Regards,
Ali

I haven't used this methodology - without knowing what yd is, but it seems like d would be depth of corrosion, and t would be wall thickness, the depth of the corrosion defect would be very close to wall thickness (if d/t is near 1). How deep is your corrosion defect?, it may be too deep to be able to assess (>80%t for example). Also you have dent assessment in the title, but are assessing only corrosion????
