We are required by the state to use FID's (not PID's) as part of our soil screening process during soil sampling activities. We currently use the Foxboro Century OVA. Does anyone have a recommendation for other FID's they have had good success with?

I'd re-write your question with a more descriptive title.

You may get more takers.

What don't you like about the Foxboro? Might help to know, so people don't offer options that are functionally equivalent.

We are just looking to buy a couple new ones, and I'm trying to find which versions other companies have liked working with. I'm just wondering if anyone here has used another type, and what they think of it.

We don't do that much with FIDs, have rented Foxboros mostly. What are the rental companies in your area providing? You can try renting for a day to see if the other units are easier to operate.

We have had good luck when renting the Thermo TVA. It has combo feature of PID and FID analyzers. Order with an extra cylinder for use in field. Downside - they are expensive.

Foxboro's the standard. I'd stay with that.
