Could anyone explain to me the settings of English Electric field failure relay ZTO 11. One of our old power plants has the type of relay still in operation. Thanks in advance.

Well, English Electric merged with GEC in 1968, and then with Alstom in 1989 (I think).

So your ZTO relays are over 45 years old now.

The UK support can be found by phone on +44 1785 250070

Or by email on

There is a contact form to fill in.

They no longer give an email address

They should be able to help you.

My records show the ZTO as pole slipping protection, and not a field failure relay. Although field failure can lead to pole slipping!

Good luck
