For plane wave excitation in FDTD simulation,
Can the field strength (E) be large say 10000V/m or more when the cell size is small?
E.g.: With an area of 10^-5m^2, the power would be P=1/(2x377)x(10000)^2x(10^-5)=13.2W. This value is too large to be practically true.
Maybe the way of the power calculation is wrong. If the E field excitation is in the x-direction only, then the 'area' is difficult to determine.
Please advice. Thank you.
