I have a 2500kVA, 13.8V:600V, phase config. Dyn1, dry type transformer supplied on the primary side via separable insulated connectors (insulated elbows and bushings). The connectors are the plug in type as opposed to the bolt on type and therefore rely upon the spring tension of the bushing connector to hold tight against the elblow pin which slides into it.
Is there a standard for testing the integrity of the connection with the elbow plugged into the bushing (low resistance testing) between the bushing and the elbow. In our case the elbow does not have a test port and the primary of the transformer is delta so it is difficult to access conductor directly on each side of the connection (elbow and bushing). Our only easy access is at the transformer supply switchgear (in which case any low resistance testing of the connections would be through the transformer HV windings).
