File conversion not happening to R17

Hi Folks,

When i try to convert R18 catia file t0 R17 through utility option,its not giving the required output file.Instead i am getting the html file.I have all the required licenses as xm2,hd2 etc.,Any tips folks?

And which are those outputs? Normally you should have a dumb solid.

Thanks for your reply.am getting only an html link as an output with the name xxx.catpart.

If you expect to have a solid with history, forget it, it will come only a dumb solid...check the docs to see exactly what you have to do.

Hi,

Yeah.I agree with you.i can't expect a solid with history.but atleast i should be getting a dumb solid.i have specified the target directory and the source file.i have choosen the license to be HD2,XM2 which ever available in the machine.actually i have picked all the licenses available in the list.so what are the other possibilities ?

For sure you are doing something wrong. You can save as stp or other neutral cad format or save as v4 file (model)...

No.its not happening with any file.
