File preview in Window xp sp3 32bit

After updating to R20 sp1 Window xp sp3 32 bit, is not possible to see file preview in a folder containing Catpart and Catproduct as before.
Other preview like Autocad dwg picture etc work well.
Any solution?

The specific commands, to be issued in a command prompt window, are:

1. Point to the CNEXT.exe file:

cd C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\Bxx\intel_a\code\bin
where xx refers to the CATIA V5 release leve to be used.

2. Run CNEXT with the /regserver option
cnext /regserver

The cnext /regserver command is documented in the Infrastructure portion of the CATIA V5 Online Documentation, in a section entitled "Installing Multiple Versions of Version 5 on the Same Computer".

as I dont have "Copy as Path" command to paste in Prompt window, can you write for me what I have to type exactely
C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B20\intel_a\code\bin.........

I would strongly advise anyone to read and understand the online doc before doing this as it might change the way CATIA works. RTFM for more info.

1) If you read the online doc and understand what CATIA ENV is all about, and if you still have question, please let me know what is not clear to you.

2) Read the online doc chapter about CATIA ENV. (see Ferdo post)

3) did you "google" rtfm ?

Hi itsyourjob ....not myjob!!!!
OK for RTFM!!!
My Catenv folder located in
C:\Documents and Settings\Marco\Dati applicazioni\DassaultSystemes\CATEnv
is EMPTY !!
I am not familiar with this job, Catsetting etc.
I can simply run ...cnext\regserver without understanding nothing? or there is danger of major damage?

Technicaly if you are using the default CATIA ENV , with the default icon to start CATIA on your conputer, runing the /regserver should not change much in the way you work.

If you have a ENV setup, or if your not using the default icon installed during CATIA inctall to start CATIA read the online doc.

My understanding is that the /regserver parameter will updated the registry of windows to make sure CATIA files are seen as CATIA files and associated with CATIA application.

If you have one or several ENV defined, you might want to control which ENV windows will consider as the default ENV and whih CATIA ENV windows will start when you double click a CATIA file (assuming CATIA is not open yet)

I tryed to run cnext\regserver
My Prompt Command window open with
C:\Documents and settings\Marco>_
if I type cnext.exe Path that is
C:\Programmi\Dassault Systemes\B20\intel_a\code\bin\cnext\regserver
I receive back this message
C:1Programmi....not recognized as command or program or batch file
