Please can someone guide me as to where can i get information on Filler metal in ASME Books.

Filler material is between stainless steel and carbon steel
Shell - SA 240 316L
Lifting Lug - SA516 GR.70

MAWP is 10 BAR at 120 degree celcius. I think the filler material is 309 stainless steel as I read previous forums.
But is this information shared in ASME code or is it jst on experience.

Any views greatly appreciated

you should refer to ASME Sec. II part C for " Specifications for welding rods, electrodes and filer metal.

anyway it is also based on welding process performance.

regards.

Thanks you guys and thanks littlechickened.

Apologies went out for holidays plus christmas is on the way..

Fawked- Yes it is in weld procedure but I just wanted to know if I can use something better or from where can I learn more about filler metals.

I guess now it is left for me to do lot of reading on ASME sec II -C. :)
