Filters ~ Update Count

[Befuddled]

I am creating a script to manipulate an assembly. I have a 'Zone' filter in the part.

Prior to opening the zone, I want to ensure that the contents / count of the filter is upto date

Is there any method to update the filter, without any user interaction. I can't seem to get a macro to work correctly.
