Finally SE student edition !!! 1

For the youngsters (Students) among Us you can download a free copy of SE now.
It did take a while before Siemens PLM decided to give it a shot.

I really hope that a lot of students will pick it up and help SE development to make a better "new" generation MCAD application.
Like a lot of others competitors, they still have a long way to go.
I'm working more then 20y with CAD applications and I still have the feeling I'm working at the drawing table.
I really hope that the future generation will see this also.

So start downloading it and start working with it, and share your thoughts on the dedicated NG.

SE considers a student anyone that wants to learn the software. Not just limited to those enrolled in school.

I tried to register for a student version but I never received any license file. That was more than 2 weeks ago...

Check your junk email folder. Or sign up again. Plenty of other people have successfully registered and received their email notifications. A few have had initial issues and registering again took care of their issues.
