Hello,

I want to choose a magnet that can produce in 500mm away of its poles a magnetic field of 150 mT. The magnets should have a lot of shapes.

How can I do this? I mean is there any technical paper or any book where I can find informations about that?

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Electromagnet or permanent magnet?
What is the maximum allowable size of the magnet?
What direction is the 150mT relative to the magnet?
Is it 150mT at just one point or over a volume?
Any uniformity requirement?
What is the environment (air, water, heat, vacuum)?

Too many variables, you won't find a direct answer in any paper or book. Your earlier postings implied you were doing magnetic modeling. That is the most practical way to find a magnet shape that will do what you require (if it is possible). If you are having trouble with the modeling, then it is time to spend some money with a company that makes magnets.

The 150mT magnetic field at 500mm distance is going to require a very large magnet.

one meter cubed. Wow.
