Hello,
I have a Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) foil of thickness less than 1mm and I have already done tensile testing and got material data but in need to do compression and shear test to find additional data for my simulation in Ansys.
* Since the material thickness is less than 1mm , I do not know how much pressure/load I have to apply for a compression test and till how long the should the load be applied. I have made a specimen of 10mm diameter and added two foils one top of the other so that the thickness increases but still remains less than 1mm.
* Also how to conduct shear test is question for a foil of less than 1mm thickness. What dimensions of specimens should be? and what is the procedure for conducting test?
* To model in Ansys the above material as visco-elastic what test should I need to do to get the data?
Thank you very much.
