Hi there
Is there any restriction in exposing the wiring for fire alarm above the ceiling of a commercial kitchen of about 20'x60'? I have not found any restriction other than the "NEC 110-11 Deteriorating agents" article. Is there any restriction on any NFPA standard that keep me from use exposed wiring for the fire alarm system above the ceiling in a kitchen as described?
Thanks in advance for all your comments.

As long as you support it in a workmanlike fashion, not resting it on the top of the suspended ceiling, I see no code or standard violation.

Have not done it but maybe get the manufautre's sheet with ul listing to see if there is a temperature range the wire can handle and enforce it that way.

I know fire alarm panels have a tempeerature range that they are listed for and see them installed in areas that are not conditioned.
