Hello All,
My knowledge for protection of vertical storage tank against fire exposure is limited to the basic requirements,
In this case we have a vertical storage tank containing HFO (dia 16 meters x hgt 14 meters), located inside of a dike with a height of 7.6 meters.
outside of the dike, there is 3 horizontal storage tank containing also HFO but with a relative small capacity (50 m3 max.),
there is no vertical tanks close to the above mentioned tank whatsoever.
is it a necessary to provide a cooling water sprinklers on top of the tank since the dike is high and the tanks close to the mentioned above are relatively small?
can you kindly attach any code requirements regarding this issue?

Detailing is a hobby,
