Hi,
I am working on a project for renovation to a retail store in a shopping mall. There comes a comment from the City that a new fire hose cabinet is required in the store because the existing fire hoses in the common area cannot provide enough coverage. However, by my observation, the fire hoses in the mall's hallway are short and could not give full coverage to most of the stores in the mall. Can I argue with the City's examiner? Is there any item in the relevant codes (e.g. NFPA 14) indicating that the fire hose is required in this case? Thank you all.
