Hi guys,

I want to determine if I can replace a 75’ hose to 100’. The fire pump is located at P1. The pressure test was performed based on existing 75’ hose. Now I have the numbers of static pressure, nozzle pressure, hose residual pressure and calculated GPM.

What is the best approach to do a calculation to determine if I can replace it by a 100 ft hose?

Thank you.

So
A little more info

Is this to conduct a pump test

Is this an occupant hose station

Is this ????????????

Hi cdafd,

The fire pump was tested. The technician simply attached two different nozzles (1/2”, 3/4”) to existing 75 ft hose during test and had pump pressure, nozzle pressure, hose residual pressure, calculated GPM recorded.

The existing fire hose is standard 1-1/2” hose with 1-1/2” hose nozzle.

It’s an occupant fire hose cabinet.
