I´ve obtained from the net several specifications of fire systems for buildings and others (sprinklers, deluge, alarm).

I´d like to find specifications for sprinklers, deluge, hydrant systems, etc. for electrical power plants.

Anybody with sugestions or offerings?

davidcr,

Electric power generating stations can have various fuel sources, generating equipment and pose unique risks.

NFPA has incorporated a huge EPRI study into it's Standard 850-00 (year 2000 is the latest update). Within this standard, are various approved methods ( i.e. CO2, water etc.) for protection of various types of plant equipment (i.e. coal storage, gas piping, burners, station transformers etc)

Be aware that the company providing the insurance for the plant will have the final say in the plant's fire protection design. Fire protection for valuable plant assets may be required to meet generating requirements also.

hope that this helps !!!
