We are a two engineer MPE firm, and this year (2015) we grossed around $420,000. We have been in business 8 years, and are located in the southeastern US. Would anyone else care to share similiar info, we are curious how we are doing compared to other MPE firms. Thanks!

Other opinions will likely differ, but gross means very little to me. Net is what matters in the end. If you subbed out all of your work and netted $50k, that's not nearly as useful as if I kept it all in house and netted $200k from that same $420k. Just a thought...

Depends on how much you want (need) for your two people.

If i were happy with a 75,000.00 take-home (after all taxes), then a $150,000.00 per person pre-tax, pre-expenses is only a start.

If each wants 220,000.00 take home, then you need a good bit more gross.
