Greetings Experts ,

I have two dissimilar components (Pipe 18" sch xs (12.7mm W.T) and elbow/flange 18" sch STD (9.57mm W.T), Now in the Fitup Report it have been mentioned 9.57 mm in the thickness section, since vendor claims that the Pipe ID have been grinded. Please advise me what thickness need to be mentioned in the Report in this case. Similarly when we have Sockolet Cl.3000 to be welded over the Run Pipe of thickness 12.7mm Thickness what need to be mentioned in the Report. Please kindly advise.

Check the design if such a joint is permitted or the vendor needs to provide elbow / flange 18" Sch XS ?

He is reducing the thickness of the thicker component in order to have a proper fit-up. Still, he should mention the original thickness and not the reduced one.
