Does anybody have recommendation for free API 579 Fitness for service software or excel calculation sheets that can be downloaded.

Thanks in advance.

It's unlikely that you'll find anything for free. And even if you did, remember, that you get what you pay for.

It is hard enough to source good FFS software under license, you are probably limited to one or two developers. There are a couple of spreadsheets on Ted Anderson's site that I trust but I would recommend developing your own to fully understand the methods.

Despite the numerous problems we've had with compliance to design rules on materials of construction for brittle fracture risks for old facilities, we've never gone down the route of FFS to see if we can get a "get out of jail" card. Do you know if higher up folks in your Engg Dept are going to hang their hats on the results of an FFS analysis - have you checked ?
