I work for a mobile heavy equipment manufacturing company, and our experience with Parker Seal-Lok fittings and Trap-Seal orings seem to be less than ideal. Has anyone else had any experience with these that they would like to share?
On what type of equipment these fittings are being used; what is the main problem with those fittings; are the fittings subjected to the movement of the hydraulic hoses whereby such movement can cause bending of the fittings or put these fittings under tension/ compression? My questions stems from our experience on job sites where vibratory pile drivers and backhoes had trouble with hydraulic line fittings would leak and create environmental nightmare. Recognizing the causes we addressed the issues buy securing hydraulic lines lines as a first step.
