There's an old premix foam tank with a deteriorated fitting.
The fitting was dismantled however i need to know the description and function of this fitting ( Kindly refer to the attached photo ) as the manufacturer of this tank isn't available to be contacted.

Well one photo close up doesn't really help....

It just looks like some sort of machined block with some mysterious cable?? Or valve inside.

As to what it does, who knows? We don't know what if connects to our anything really.

So draw up a diagram or give us a bit more as it's not possible from one photo of a part not actually connected to anything.

Here some step may help your team:
  1. open your internal documentation, like @LittleInch mentioned, any diagram could helped to next step investigation
  2. Once information obtained, i believe there are manufacturer name, equipment name part name, etc. You can google it first, if you're lucky you can get free catalogs to do further investigation
  3. If your manufacturer is not available to contact, you can get information from other manufacturer on step 2.
My guess this is some fitting in foam chamber, but do not fully believe it, because information based only from this picture

Thank you for your replies.
I've attached additional photo and free hand sketch for the system description to help in identifying the item description.

Looks like someone made their own firewater foam generator for firewater foam extinguishing system. It does not look like a manufactured item. You can replace with manufactured firewater foam generators if that is what it is supposed to be.

Here is a foam maker/generator for a tank dike area. There are different kinds for different applications.

Why is the exit nozzle drawn half way up the foam tank??

But looks very much like a local retrofit to add air into the foam mix upstream of the nozzles which is a bit odd.

The hose balances out pressure above the liquid so ends up acting like acrude venturi.

All very odd.
