Fixing Context of Parts

Due to some connectivity issues with our customer, we were recently forced to work locally on an assembly that is in Enovia. After the connection issues were fixed, we used the checkout/checkin process to update the assemblies in Enovia. We then open the assembly from Enovia and fix all the contextual links on the parts to point to the appropriate instances in enovia. When we click save, catia loads all of the local assemblies and tries to save them to Enovia (which gives us "part already exists" errors). If we check the links, nothing points to our local drive, the context is correct. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I guess is a problem with the UUID...I suggest you to use a step export of your assemblies and import in Enovia (if its possible but you have to be very careful because obviously you will overwrite some files) - hope I understood your problem well.

how do you do a step export?

Use Send to directory of your assy (this will send also the parts) and save as stp in same folder. Zip everything and send it to your customer to import in Enovia (I suppose they can do it, I don't know if you have the rights...). Ask them if its OK like that. I'm sure this issue can be solved in other way but in my opinion this is the fastest way (still not always the best...).

I don't want to use an export, I want to use the actual files. I need to be able to break this hidden link. Any help with this is very much appreciated.

I have found a workaround to be able to save, but the link still exists.
