ASTM D368 is adequate for this kind of material? If not, how can I test tensile properties for this material?

First off, ASTM D638 is withdrawn with no replacement. Second, it was a specific gravity test so it does not apply to tensile strength. I believe ASTM D395 is the standard test for tensile properties of rubber.
