Have found references to bolt/stud lengths for ASME B16.5 flanges. What of B16.47 Series A & B. Weldbend.com have suggested method of calculation for length of bolts & studs for flanges up to 24" dia. What about up to 60" for MS SP44 and API 5 (B16.47 series A & B)

tonyoz, I suggest the following: Add:
1/4"+Nut Height+Flange Thickness (including facing for RF flanges)+gasket thickness+Flange Thickness+Nut Height+1/4"

For confined type joints you need to determine the gap between the flange edges per the facing configurations and gasket thickness and add this instead of the gasket thickness.

If you need the flange dimesions of your flange just pick out your specifcation and the Pacific Flange website has the numbers. They have flanges also.

If you are bolting up to a valve make sure you check the flange thickness on the vlave.
