Dear Frens,

Pls advise me how to finalize the schedule of the pipe, flanges & fittings of a system which is of size 1/2" and rating #900. thanks in advance..

What code are you referring?
What is the corrosion allowance?
What is the design pressure?
What is the design temperature?

Where is the material class for the job you are working on?
 
1) Code is ASME B36.19
2) Design Pressure: 120 Bar
3) Design Temperature: 80 Dec C
4) Corrosion Allowance: 0mm
 
ASME B36.19 is not a design code you shall specify in wich service you will use this pipe to chose the appropriate design code (like ASME B31.3 or B31.1...)
 
Try looking into ASME 31.3, Part 2 "Pressure design of piping components (303 General). It will give you the proper instruction. But first make sure (just like Aladin5020 said) what code you should use, it might not be 31.3....
 
Code (such as ASME B31.1, B31.3 or any other) would decide how to calculate the thickness of the piping (hence schedule).

Design pressure – You shall use in the thickness formula that you would be using.

Design temperature (or maximum operating temp) – would be used to select the allowable stress for the thickness calculations.

Corrosion allowance (and other allowances such as mill tolerance) shall be added to the pressure design thickness that you would get from your calculations.

And brother, normally we use the material classes for any job pipe material, schedule (thickness), corrosion allowance, type of welds, applicable code, pressure and temperature limits, flange ratings are mentioned. Check from your group.
 
Code applicable is ASME B31.3.

Pls help me to understand how to find the thickness of pipe to be used..Many thanks
