my question is regarding the flare system capacity.
suppose in one platform 6 wells exist in production each can produce 100 MMSCFD in normal and 120 MMSCFD
in maximum capacity. flare capacity was mentioned 600 MMSCFD.
I am going to check the flare capacity in block outlet case by evaluating maximum back pressure and maximum
Mach number. is it necessary that i evaluate both 6*100 MMSCFD and 5*120 MMSCFD cases or the maximum back pressure and maximum
Mach number will be the same for both cases since total relief gas rate is 600 MMSCFD.

The flare capacity you give is the same for both cases so the two answers will be the same, all the way back to that point in the line where the 6 flows and 5 flows diverge.

How does the flow compare with the original design condition. Make sure that the tip vendor is comfortable with the velocity you get at the final discharge. Don't assume that all tips are equally stable in all conditions and for all gases. Some designs may be adapted to higher discharge velocity and others only good for lower velocity.
