I don´t have access to the lattest API version and I would be very interested in obtaining the flash point correlation (which is API 2B7.1 procedure) so if anyone can copy for me the correlation I´ll be very grateful

Does it exits any other good correlation for kerosene and gasoil?. Thanks in advance

I make an auto-answer. I got the API correlation (1997 version)

Close cup: FP = 0.69*T_10%_D86 - 118.2

Open cup : FP = 0.68*T_10%_D86 - 109.6

FP: flash point , ºF
T_10%_D86 : ASTM D86 10% tempearature , ºF

A correlation to predict the flash point from the ASTM distillation given by D.S.J. Jones (Elements of Petroleum Processing-Wiley) is:

Flash point = 0.77(ASTM 5% in oF - 150oF)
