Hi....

did you ever heard of a "chevron flash point"?

If yes, could you kindly give its definitions?

Thanks

Could it be the flash point of a Chevron (company) 15W-50 (multigrade) brand of lube ?

25362,
Thanks for your answer but my question is more general.

I red that definition on a gasoil specification where it is normally used something like
- cleveland open cup
- abel pensky
- pensky martens
- tag

Could someone give other help?

Thanks

Google doesn't find anything other than flash points on Chevron products as 25362 suggests.

Chevron has a home page, have you tried contacting them?

open cup methods apply to open tanks, like a can of beans with the top taken off or an open top oil drum with the top taken off. Closed cup methods approximate the conditions in a closed tank with an atomospheric vent.
Cleveland Open Cup is an open cut method - dah!
Abel Pensky is a closed cup method - Google
Pensky Martens ? will mail you pictures of these, maybe open and closed cup
Tag, I think make open and closed cup devices. HAZOP at
