Hello all,

I am working on a project that involves the qualification and registration of a few (28) small (20 gallon to 1,300 gallon) above ground storage tanks for liquid hydrocarbons. The contained products include hydraulic oil (LE 6303), Lube oil (LE 606) and number 2 diesel fuel oil. The regulations vary with the type of contained product and its "new condition" open cup flash point.

Can someone provide me with a web site address that will allow me to find the flash points of these products? Thank you very much.

Regards, John.

John:

I think your best bet is to contact the vendors from whom you purchase hydraulic, lube and diesel oils and ask them to supply you with their Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for those products. The flash points are very likely to be included on the MSDA sheets.

If they are vendors in the USA, then they are required to have MSDS sheets.
