While I´m at it,

I (might) need to design a flashing unit with a capability of removing
1-10% light fractions from crude oil, with a capacity of ~5m3/h

Any recommendations or good advice on this??

It called a stabilizer. Start looking that up. Sometimes in small units in the field they are called heater treaters.

Hi S4in,
You first to determine the reason you need to do this work, and to identify the specifications for the product. The target may be a vapor pressure spec for storage, or for pipeline (or other transport). The process you use will be determined by the overall picture, including but not limited to feedstock analysis, location of plant, recovery required, destination of recovered light hydrocarbons, utilities and other services available, etc. Gather as much information on this as possible, then go and talk to a Process Engineer.
