Good Morning All,
Is there a way to project flat pattern curves from a 3D surface, without using sheet metal? I don't have a sheet metal license.
Thanks,

If the 3D surface is cylindrical or conical, you can use Wrap/Unwrap Curves found under Insert -> Curves From Curves -> Wrap/Unwrap. If you're just trying to get a rough result and the surface is close to but not quite cylindrical or conical in shape, you can create a close approxiamtion of the original surface with a cylinder or cone, project the curves onto this new surface and then unwrap the curves from there. Otherwise, I would recommend that you get the sheetmetal module.

Thanks, John. Unfortunately, the surface is amorphous. Fortunately, I found a friend who has the sheet metal package. "All's well that ends well".
