Hello,

When placing markers on flexible bodies, if coordinates are specified instead of a node ID, will the marker be properly attatched to the flex body, so that requests can be estimated properly.

e.g. If I wanted to measre the acceleration at a point of a flex body with respect to the ground, will the acceleration be estimated properly if the marker is not directly attatched to one of the flex body nodes?

Thanks in advance

Josef K.

You'd have much more control over the process if you either site a flex body node where you need it, or at the very least, use the acceleration at 3 surrounding nodes around your nominal accelerometer location and do some maths.

As someone who has instrumented and analyzed hundreds of cars, if a flex node is within 100 mm of the ideal location, just use that, if you are looking at stuff below 50 Hz.

Cheers
