Hello

Can anybody explain how to design flexible bellows and Hose in NX?

I have tried multiple times to use “Deformable parts” for flexible hoses and Bellows.
With no results unfortunately. I have to take into account that a flexible hose or bellows needs to be able to freely move in 3 planes (3D) and 180 degree turns must be possible too.

Can Anybody help?

I am using NX8.5 and TC9

regards
Dipak

Attached is one example of how to model a 'flexible hose' (there are other approaches that I've seen done). To make this a 'deformable' Component just include all the features except the centerline (path) spline and in your Assembly provide a new centerline (path) spline.

So as to see what this model looks like...

Hello John

I tried what you said above but not able to deform or may be I do not understand what you want to say.
Can you please explain in brief? How to deform this in assembly. (may be some important steps)

I've got to come-up with something a little bit more suitable. I'll get back to you on this one.
