Hi, i'm planning to use flexinol around the body, so I want it to actuate at around core temp at ~35C(Af), however dynalloy only sell 70 and 90 degrees actuator wires, which is what im having to use as a sort of proof of concept.
But my project is entirely hinged then on whether flexinol can be made to actuate at the core temp. So any ideas on how flexinol is made other than it's "highly processed Nitinol" would be a great help.
Ive emailed dynalloy and they say it is possible, but i'd like to know what "highly processed" means, whether its adding other alloying species or is it just training SMA nitinol.
My other question is whether all Nitinol products undergo stress induced martensite by some degree, thus raising the Af temp for actuation.
