I have a part that was designed on the top plane and I want to move the view to let's say the bottom or front. How do you go about switching the plane.

Thanks in advance

Joe

Recommended for you

Right click the base feature sketch, select Edit Sketch Plane, select the target plane.

If all subsequent features are based from the faces of the first feature, they should update without errors.

-or-

Use the Move/Copy Bodies function to rotate the model as needed. However, this will create an extra feature in the tree and can make editing the model confusing because it will flip back to its original orientation when the edit command is invoked.

-or-

Just leave it as it is, and rotate the model when inserting into an assy.

Thanks guys, thats what I was looking for.

Best regards,
