Floating Dead End

I need to model a floating DE, I am using PLS CADD. I am not sure whether to put it in as a suspension, or as a DE with a certain length.

I am also wondering what a floating DE will do in the field, how will it affect the sag-tension?

We typically use a 1 foot long suspension insulator to model the floating dead end in Tower and PLS-Pole for use with PLS-CADD models.
