Dear Tanks Experts,

I am seeking your advice and suggestions for the issues discovered inside our Floating Roof Crude Oil Storage Tank.

Some bottom plates were deformed and similarly the roof plates (It is a double pontoon type)

Can you please have a look on the photos to better explain the case?

Thanks and best regards,

All looks perfectly normal to me.

Floor plates will rarely be absolutely flat.

The roof doesn't have many supports to hold up the bottom plate but this is not in its working condition.

I can't see any issue here.

Hello,

We found some bottom plates (welded on the tank bottom) of deck legs deformed due the bulged bottom plate and the load of roof (Concentrated Load).

We also found various locations of leak traces between the roof plates (internally), but only leak signs seen at only two pontoon chambers when we entered all the compartments.

Spalling and cracking of the concrete ring was also noticed.

Please have a look at the attached photos.
