All,
I've seen a lot of threads in the past (couple were mine) about text and GD&T notes not linking to drawing views when moved. This is when a leader for a note is not desired for that view. We'll consider this as floating text. I believe I have a temporary fix for this.
1) Select the Note icon "A"
2) Select a piece of geometry in the view desired.
(This will create a leader automatically to the note)
3) Drag your note to the area desired in that view and
select.
4) Key in your text.
5) Select the "check" box in the command manager to exit.
6) Select the Note you just created.
7) Remove the leader (there's an icon about half way down
in the command manager)
8) 5) Select the "check" box in the text function to exit.
Now move your view around and notice the text moves along.
This also works well with floating GD&T text.
I hope this helps you 2D users.
Best,
Macduff
