Floor Control valves

What is the requirement for having to use multi floor control valves with valve, flow switch and drain.(Sprinkler only standpipe)
Light or ordinary two-four story buildings, I know some four story building have a height requirement.

Check NFPA 13, ed. 2016, par. 8.2.4. It doesn't seem there is a high limitation in 13. I believe one should refer to the building code for more information.
