Hello all

I am modeling air-flow between the fins of a heatsink. Following is the problem I am faced with:

Due to the limitations coming from the geometry of the entire assembly, I have to model the space between the fins as two volumes instead of just one volume. In this case, how do I apply the boundary conditions on the two volumes?

Imagine this as a two rectangular fluid volumes having one area common. I want these two volumes to behave as if it is only one volume. What kind of conditions should I put on the common area?

If I dont put any conditions on that area, the analysis is divergent. If I put moving wall conditon on that common area, it is still divergent.

Any hints,

Mahesh.
