How about trying the manufacturers,Google for information.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

Floway now belongs to Weir pumps; get on their website.

Weir pumps website only supply downloadable brochures, the dont provide manual or guides.

Vertical pumps are all very similar, no matter the manufacturer. You have asked an extremely general question; any generic manual on verticals should apply. If you have a specific concern, please state it and there are plenty here that can help.

As a starter, I would say your most important, or at least first, concern is to make sure the pump is hung, or mounted, absolutely vertical. A foundation plate just a few degrees off vertical (or flimsy) will give you headaches forever; problems that will be blamed on all sorts of other causes.
