Fluke 789

Hi guys

I have a Fluke 789 I have recently brought second hand that simulates 0-20mA instead of 4-20. Is there a fault in the meter or can you change it back to 4-20??. H[ignore][/ignore]ave not seen it before.
Also note that the source function does not work.

Why would you need anything other than 0-20mA?? It's a simulator! Set it for the mA you need to test the device that you're testing. To a 4-20mA device the values between 0 and 4.00mA are valid they're just "under-range" and often need to be checked to to make sure evil things don't occur when a sub 4mA signal is presented.

As for the source function not working.. I'd make double sure you've pressed all the right buttons and that the battery isn't low.

When you say it's not working is it stuck on zero?
Check the mA fuse, they are very easy to blow and expensive.
