Hello all,

In looking at this, I've found that 620 only includes "flush-type shell connections", which limits the opening height to 12" (side note - then in 5.27.1.2 states that having this connection limits the tank to 2 psig vapor pressure, less than the 650 max of 2.5 psig, so can this tank now be analyzed per 650?). 650 on the other hand has both "flush-type shell connections" and "flush-type cleanout fittings" - I don't understand the difference between these two, other than that the FTSC has that height limit of 12".

Is there a simple difference between the FTSC and the FTCF that I'm not seeing?

Thanks

A flush type cleanout fitting is a manway, for personnel or maintenance access. A flush type shell connection is a nozzle intended for piping connections and anticipates additional loads from the attached piping.
