I'm having difficulty on computing the total lbs i need for a 2080 cubic feet server room with design concentration of 60 Fahrenheit. i just need to identify how many tank shall i reflect in my plan. thanks in advance.
First need to know design concentration (% per volume), normally 7 for class C fires.
Second need to know design temp of your room (that maybe is the 60F??).
Third go to NFPA 2001 (2015 edition) Table A.5.5.1(i) HFC-227ea Total Flooding Quantity (U.S. Units)
From there determine weight requirement (lb/ft3)
Then multiply that to your room volume (ft3), that is now your clean agent capacity (lb)
Go to your manufacturer (fike, tyco, etc.) catalog and select a tank that would fit your clean agent capacity.
Please don't post your e-mail address or phone numbers because it attracts salespeople, spammers, and stupid recruiters to the forums and we do NOT want them around. Thank you.
This app can calculate the needed kg of FM 200. BTW The sizing rule of the NFPA 2001 is really simple, in the NFPA 2001 it is also possible to see the rules to select the hazard and fire classification.
If you are searching for the hydraulic calculation, you have to directly contact the manufacturer. Just the manufacturer can give you a guaranteed hydraulic calculation.
