Dear members:
I plan to make foam concrete for low load structure.
I think of using dish soap as foam agent using home- made foam generator...and i have a Q about what should be the air pressure in such process??
Because i have seen a video on you tube for the famous aircrete Harry on which he said he had the air Pressure about 90 psi and the resulted foam was not that good .
so he reduced the air pressure down to 16 psi for much better foam???
Can i get those values as good reference??
Thank you..

Dear SALAH 1,

I tried to remember some details ( bcz we used this type of foam concrete more than forty years ago ) and pls find my points ;
- This forum is for structural engineering and it could be better if you post this thread at Engineering Forums by Industry/ Concrete Engineering to get better responds ,
- In case of small size home- made foam generator , the following doc. suggests 30psi ( web address; https://fab.cba.mit.edu/classes/865...s/components/foamGenerator/foamGenerator.html,
- I remember for large scale production ( using foam generator ) the air pressure was in the range of 100 psi,
- I checked the industry one of the available foam generator supplier (https://www.gertec-gmbh.de/en/products/insulation-technology/info/ ) i just provided this web address to see the technical datas ,
- the foam agent that we used was NEOPOR and apparently now this is a GPS / rigid foam insulation brand ,
- I remember that the temperature of water is an important parameter .( should be around 4 degr C.)

Thank you for the given information..
I really appreciate it...
And if you do not mind what should be density of the resulted foam as kg/litre to be stable and durable...

AFAIK , should be min. 400 kg/ m3. Other important factors , mixture , fresh foam concrete height, placement method ( placement with bucket would be better ) , temperature of the mixture .
