Hello everyone,

I want to confirm an information about the hight of the foam dam.

We disagreed with a contractor about the interpretation of the following statement in the designe criteria:

'' Dam height shall be at least 2 in. (51 mm) higher than any burnout panels in metal secondary seals''

are the bunrout panels the secondary seals' wipers (rubber tips) or the fusable elements in the secondary seals?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Not the wiper tip, which the foam dam has to be 2" above.
Burnout panels are round or square holes in the secondary seal support plate covered with fabric that will melt or burn when exposed to a rim fire.
