In Preferences Visualization there is a setting called "FOG" under the Special Effects tab. When you check the box, everything in modeling looks like its in a fog.

All day I kept thinking my mind was messing with me as my NX11 looks like it is in a fog. Not the Icons but just the model. I found that setting and it made it worse. So something is causing the same effect when its not on.

Any ideas?

Usually when I make a component the work part, everything else will de-emphasize. When I do that now, I see no difference. You see no change in anything when you make a component the work part.

Also it is a local setting I think. If I open a file we kow is normal, it still looks like in a fog when I open it.

Figured it out.

Someone here was playing with his own settings and found it. It was in the visualization Emphasis settings. In case anyone else has theirs get messed up like I did, and I have no idea how I did it, here are the settings to make it clear again....
