I am working on a CFD model and am having a hard time finding the properties to input them into ANSYS or solidworks. In particularly dynamic viscosity. An help to point me in the right direction would help. Thanks.

Since no one else answered:
FOG are a mixture of stuff (as the name implies), anything from an oily scum layer to large chunks of fat floating by to suspended fats (if surface tension is low). Any number for viscosity should be taken with large amounts of salt since it may not apply to whatever you try to model.

I've never seen viscolisty data for FOG, you should find some for some pure species but if that is helpful ... see above. (Glycerine wikipedia, most technical greases their datasheet)

One note: Viscosity of typical biogas slurries went anywhere between 1000 and 10000 mPas (and surely higher but not in the plants we had measurements taken), I'd expect this variety within FOGs too.

If you describe the application you want to model, maybe someone here can give you more ideas where to find data.

Thank you for your reply. I didn't recieve an alert notifing me of a response. I am trying to find an optimal pressure in which water and FOGs will seperate. I want to get a working model in ANSYS to see if it is even possible to seperate the two. But in order to model it in ANSYS I need the physical properties to create a new "fluid" as it not preset (as expected). What I may have to do is model as many of the pure species and find common points.

Water and FOG will not separate with pressure. A drop in pH and/or temperature will separate the FOG from water.
